Rosa Lilia Gonzalez

Rosa was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She passed away peacefully on November 8 , 2025 three days before her 90th birthday. She was a wonderful person to everyone she knew and those that knew her. When she was able she loved to sew and knit.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband Mario Gonzalez, whom she was married to for 50 years, her daughter Melva Gonzalez, her parents, Julio and Melchora Gonzalez, and all of her brothers and sisters.

She was survived by her daughter Mayra N. Gonzalez,grandchildren ; Chris Gonzalez, Carlos Tijerina,Jr., Crystal Gonzalez, Nevaeh Reyes, Juan Popoca, Rosa Gonzalez and David Gonzalez. She also leaves behind 8 great grandkids.

Rosa helped everyone she could and always had a beautiful smile. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, located at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, on Friday November 14, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on Saturday November 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm, followed by a committal service at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery .
