

Rosalee Leggio, 97, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012. She was born in Houston, Texas on August 25, 1914, to Frank and Josephine Leago, one of seven children. She attended Hohl Elementary School, and Hamilton Jr. High School. On June 18, 1933, she married Anthony Leggio; they celebrated 61+ years of marriage before his death in 1994. Rosalee and Tony had four children, who blessed them with nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, daughter and son-in-law, Annette Marie and Charles Dragna, grandson, Buddy Babbitt, and great grandsons, Blase Wright, Jr., and Andrew Jessup, as well as her parents and five of her siblings. Rosalee is survived by her three children, Mary Jo Wright and husband, John; Jo Ann Babbitt and husband Alvin; and Frank Leggio, Sr. and wife Sherrill, as well as grandchildren, Michael Wright and wife Donna; Blase Wright, Sr.; Stacie Jaeger and husband Mike; Elizabeth Ewing and husband Robert; Frank Leggio, Jr. and wife Diane; Jason Leggio; Lisa Jessup and husband Zach; and Vickie Zellers and husband Neil. Great grandchildren, Nikki Squires and huband Shane,; Chelsea Wright; Michael Jaeger, Jr.; Ian Vollers; Jake EWing; Tony and Charity Leggio; Haley and Mikayla Jessup; and Isabelle Zellers. Great-great grandchildren, Allison and Hunter Squires; Blaze Anthony and Mirella Wright. Also survived by her sister, Genevieve Kerley, numerous other family members, and a wreath of loving friends. The family would like to give special thanks to Pat Jones, Donna Gage, and Christian Leday. Their loving and devoted care allowed Rosalee to spend her final year at home, as she wished. We would also like to thank Dr. Tara Shani, Dr. Phillip Berman, and Memorial Hermann Home Hospice Care for their support and tender care given to our mother in her final days. Rosalee was a 50 year member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, where she was a member of the St. Rose Altar Guild, the Ladies Auxilliary of Knights of Columbus Council 2917, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Christ the King, and the Thursday Club of St. Rose of Lima. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Earthman Resthaven Chapel with a Vigil/Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston, Texas. Rite of Committal to follow, Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Leggio, Jr.; Jason Leggio; Bill Kerley; Anthony Leago; Michael Wright; and Blase Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Jaeger; Tony Leggio; Jake Ewing; Ian Voller; Neil Zellers; and Zack Jessup.
