Rosamaria Martha Montalvo, 66, passed away on September 19, 2026, at 6:40 a.m. in Houston, Texas, surrounded by her family and knowing she was deeply loved.
Rosamaria was born on March 15, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, where she spent the first 44 years of her life. She later made Houston, Texas, her home, where she lived for the past 22 years.
A woman of faith, family, and laughter, Rosamaria was a devoted Catholic who lived a life centered around the people she loved. She pursued a college education and built a career in finance before joining the United States Postal Service, where she worked as a city carrier.
Rosamaria was caring, generous, and empathetic. She had a gift for making people feel cared for and never hesitated to give of herself to those around her. She loved her family deeply and considered them the most important part of her life.
She loved music, dancing, and watching her favorite novelas. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh, and, naturally, enjoyed a little good gossip. Those who knew her best will also remember one of her signature quirks: Rosamaria never took sips. She took "zips" It was just one of those little things that made her uniquely her.
Rosamaria is survived by her husband, Jimmy; her daughters, Melissa, Cynthia, and Anamaria; her beloved grandson, Santino; and her siblings, Mario, Sonia, Maria, Eva, Lupe, Rita, Alicia, and Jaime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Rita.
Rosamaria leaves behind a family who will forever carry her love, her laughter, her generosity, and her stories with them. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable space in their lives, the love she gave so freely will remain.
She was deeply loved. She will be deeply missed. And she will forever remain in our hearts.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, US, on October 1, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The Funeral will take place at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, US, on October 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by Committal at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060, US, on October 2, 2026, at 11:00.
