Houston, Texas to Jesus and Julia Flores. Rosendo is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Teresa and siblings, Joe, Jesus, Frances and Edelia. Rosendo is survived by his brother Robert (Olga), brothers in law Guadalupe Gonzalez (Catherine), Juan Rodriguez, Humberto Rodriguez, sister-in-law Gloria Gonzalez and numerous nieces and nephews.
His first job was repairing buses, later he went on to repair bicycles and lawnmowers at Southwest Cycle with his brother-in-law Tony Ante. He retired several years ago after working in a car body shop. As a younger man, he once considered becoming a boxer. That was until he got knocked out for the first time by a hard right to the chin and quickly realized that this was not for him. He still loved boxing and attended several boxing matches with his brother Robert. He practiced Karate and served in the Marine Reserves. He was a Drill Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and saw two years of active duty. He lovingly cared for his parents until they both passed away. Sometime after that, he began a courtship with Teresa who was his brother-in-law Frank’s sister. They were happily married for thirty-four years until she passed away in October of 2019. He dearly missed her very much.
His friends and family will certainly miss his quick wit and warm smile.
