Rosendo Guajardo Ramirez

Rosendo Guajardo-Ramirez, 80, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Rosendo was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, on August 5th, 1945 and carried the values of hard work, love, and devotion to family throughout his life. He built a legacy centered on kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to those he loved most.

Above all, Rosendo cherished his family. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. He also had a lifelong love of soccer and was a devoted fan of Rayados de Monterrey. Whether cheering on the Houston Texans or the Houston Astros, he rarely missed an opportunity to support his favorite teams and share those moments with family.

Rosendo is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Guadalupe Guajardo-Penagos; his children, David Guajardo and his wife, Christina Guajardo; Claudia Perez and her husband, Juvencio Perez; Adriana Jasso and her husband, Jose Ramon Jasso; Gabriela Irias and her husband, llich Irias; and Marla Garcia and her husband, Joel Garcia.

He is also survived by his brothers, Arturo Guajardo and his wife Mary Helen Guajardo; Fernando Guajardo and his wife Aida Guajardo; his sister, Angelina Guajardo; and his brother-in-law Felipe Valdez and many nieces and nephews who loved him deeply.

He was a proud grandfather to Juvencio Jr. Perez and his wife, Hailey Perez; Selen Urias and her husband, Rony Urias; Emily Kim and her husband, Chung Nico Kim; Samantha Perez; Crystal Aguirre and her husband, Jason Aguirre; David Guajardo; Jonathan Guajardo; Aaron Jasso; Ariyana Jasso; Ashton Jasso; Andrew Guajardo; Grace Irias and her husband, Jeffrey Kruger; llich V. Irias Jr. and his wife, Hina Irias; Jordan Irias; Mya Garcia; Kayla Garcia and her fiancé, Johnny Truong; and Jake Garcia.

He was blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Eleina Aguirre, Mateo Perez, Annalise Perez, Julian Urias, Sofia Urias, Chung Tiger Kim, Luana Irias, and Oliver E. Kruger, each of whom brought him immense pride and happiness.

Rosendo is preceded in death by his parents, Rosendo and Angelina Guajardo; sisters, Maria De Carmen Pena, Maria Del La Luz Elizondo, Ladislada Valdes, Evelia Garcia, and Maria Isabel Resendez and Graciela Guajardo.

Rosendo's love, wisdom, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to his family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will endure through the lives he touched and the family he loved so dearly.
