Roslyn was a beautiful soul. She was the 2nd of 5 children born to the beautiful parents Chris and Mary Walker on April 30, 1961 in Houston, Texas. She grew up in Acres Homes where she had lots of friends. She attended Mary McCloud Bethune Elementary, Charles R. Drew Junior High School, George Washington Carver Senior High School and Dwight D. Eisenhower High School. She was an active member with the Carver class of 1979. After Carver Senior High School desegregated in August 1978, she attended and graduated from Eisenhower High School in May 1979, but the class of ’79 continued to keep in touch despite being bussed to different schools. Roslyn was always a hard worker. Her first job was at 13 years old with the City of Houston’s summer job program where she served lunch to low income children. She continued this hard work ethic instilled by her parents to work every summer and after-school. Although she worked while in school, she participated in Speech and Drama under the guidance of Ms. Dorsey, winning numerous accolades and awards. In high school, she was captain of the Flag Girls team. She was popular and had a lot of friends. After graduating from high school, she attended Massey Business School where she received an Administrative Assistant certificate. She made sure he enjoyed all happiness in life. She bought her love for the lord in Jesse’s life. She made sure that he was active in church and sports. She wanted him to have every advantage and made certain he went to quality schools for a great education. Jesse Jr. fulfilled her happiness by giving her 2 grandsons Tyler Brown and Chase Garcia. Roslyn later married her best friend Emile Guidry. Roslyn loved Emile and supported the home while he traveled for work. The power couple opened their business and advanced their life by bringing Kynnedi Arlissa in this world on January 14, 2004. They were very active in cheer competition, dance and music. Roslyn wants to make sure Kynnedi takes advantage of every opportunity. Roslyn’s guidance enabled Kynnedi to become the poised and intelligent young lady she is today. Her children Jesse and Kynnedi knew they were safe and loved. Roslyn’s love for family was extended to her niece Paige Nicole Walker. When her sister, Anissa Walker went to be with the Lord in 2003, Roslyn and Emile brought Paige, 13, into their home as their daughter. She loved Paige and raised both Kynnedi and Paige as sisters. She guided Paige and encouraged her to go to college to continue her education beyond high school. She made sure Paige was protected and loved.
