When I think back to my earlier memories of my time with aunt Ruby I think of trips to beauty salon with her and Nana. Occasional trips to the ranch in Huntsville, watching games of bridge with her and her friends and every Christmas and Easter in between.

While these memories are not profound and shared by many others in our family. I do cherish them as early memories of her. Although her passing will always be once of grieving and sorrow. I take solace in knowing she lived a long life of sound mind until the end and surrounded by family and loved ones. Rest easy aunt Ruby, I am sure you and Nana have a lot of catching up to do.

Oh where do I start.. Ruby was one of my mothers best friends along with her sister Aunt Jerry, she was around while growing up, she was there for my first baby shower, I remember going to her ranch and seeing all the cows. Aunt Ruby was one of the toughest woman I know. She will forever be in our hearts, and us in hers. Rest in peace Aunt Ruby, you gave life a HELL of a ride!! Mom and all your other sorority sisters are in Heaven waiting for you.
