Ruby was predeceased by her husband, Wayne T. Payne, father, James Bishop, mother, Charity Wilson, and brother, Loftin Bishop. She is survived by daughter Judi Gardner (Jan), son Robert Payne (Suzanne), and daughter Debbie Dillard. Ruby is also survived by five grandchildren, Kimberly Gardner Gruenzner (Scott), Justin Dillard (Rachel), Andrew Dillard (Erin), Amanda Payne, and Wesley Payne, followed by five great-grandchildren, Austin Gruenzner, Emeline Dillard, Elijah Landers, Peyton Dillard, and Hayes Dillard.
Ruby's visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Waltrip Funeral Directors.
A funeral service celebrating Ruby's life, will begin in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 7, with Reverend M. Eugene Vickrey officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
