
Ruth D. Carson passed away on April 6, 2011 in Conroe. She was born on May 11, 1918 in Bryan, Texas to Thomas W. and Alice G. DeHart and was one of eight children. She married Curtis R. Carson in 1936 and moved to Houston, Texas in 1943. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis, after 46 years of marriage. Ruth is survived by daughter, Sandra Kennedy and husband, Carl, of Conroe, Texas: four grandchildren, Paul Kennedy and wife Barbara, of Houston, Texas, John Kennedy of Conroe, Texas, Daniel Kennedy of Houston, Texas and Rebecca Schottie and husband, James, of Conroe, Texas: four great grandchildren, Jordan Kennedy and Cameron Kennedy of Houston, Texas, and Skylar Schottie and Carson Schottie of Conroe, Texas: sister, Gladys Miller and family. Ruth is also survived by several special nieces and their families, as well as special friends Mary Beachamp and Evelyn McBride. Ruth was a faithful and loving wife and mother and enjoyed traveling, especially to A&M sporting events. She retired from the business world after several years as Office Manager for Durham Clinic. She was also an active member of Baptist Temple Church for many years.
