

Sally Mary Glenn Hunter, 76, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on April 15, 2022, after an extended illness. Sally was born on March 30, 1942, in Houston, Texas, to Warren Mouzon Glenn and Idele Spolyar Glenn.
Sally attended Lamar High School, graduating in 1960. She then attended Sam Houston State University and obtained her degree in Secondary Education (Literature) in 1965. In 1963, Sally married Richard Laughlin Hunter, Sr., and would remain married to the love of her life for 41 years until his passing in 2005.
Sally was known for her love of photography, travel, cooking, reading, and her dogs, Lady and Lucy. She was a devoted mother and loved by all that knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents, her infant sister Karen Ann Glenn, her sister Nancy Glenn Gresham, and her husband, Richard Laughlin Hunter, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Hunter Kidwell and husband Greg Kidwell, and their sons John & Benjamin; son, Richard Laughlin Hunter, Jr.; son David Matthew Hunter and his sons, Cameron and Ian; her brother-in-law John Gresham; brother-in-law Ripley Hunter, a niece & numerous nephews.
The family is very appreciative of Sally’s dear friends and neighbors who helped her when needed. The family also wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Houston Hospice for their compassionate care.
Graveside Service will be conducted by family member David Robertson of Overland Park, Kansas, at 2:00 on Friday, October 7, at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale, Houston, Texas.
