

Sam Lee Rojas, 57, passed away on January 9, 2012 at his home in Houston, Texas. Sam was born on September 10, 1954 in Beesville, Texas and lived most of his life in Houston. He worked as a carpenter and was a perfectionist at his craft. He always surrounded himself with music played only at the highest volume and treasured the freedom of riding his motorcycle. He was a loving son, brother and father. Sam had many friends from all walks of life and could always be counted on to be there for them.
His greatest joy in life was his daughter Raven Kaitlin. Sam was a dedicated father who shared his love of music, food, especially Star pizza and movies with her. His love and spirit has made her the person she is today.
He is preceded in death by his father, Felix Rojas and his brother, Lester Rojas.
He is survived by his daughter Raven Kaitlin Rojas; his mother Sofia Rojas; sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth and John Malzone; brothers Joel Rojas, Nefty Rojas, Abel Rojas and Micheal Rojas; his niece Sonia M. Villarreal and her husband Orlando; niece Lauren Rojas; nephews Nefty. Jr and William; great-nephews Leonardo and Nicholas; and many wonderful and loyal friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Heights Funeral Home with the Reverend Justin Coleman officiating.
