Samuel A. Mullacherry (Sam), 66, went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2018. Sam was born on October 14, 1951 in Kerala, India. At 17, he moved to Delhi, India, where he worked, studied, and received his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Delhi. During his college years, he actively participated in church ministry. Later, he moved to Saudi Arabia and worked with the Saudi British Bank. In 1980, he married Rebecca Cherian in India and had two children, Caroline and Benjamin. While in Saudi Arabia, despite the lack of religious freedom, Sam faithfully served the Lord through the underground church and conducted house church meetings. In 1993, Sam and his family immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Houston, TX where he set up his own business. He was involved in different local ministries such as nursing home outreach, intercessory prayer groups, and small group Bible studies and fellowshipped at the Indian Pentecostal Church (IPC) Hebron and Dwelling Place Church. Sam had a great sense of humor, loved people, and worked hard for his family and community. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Sam had a positive outlook about life and leaves a legacy of integrity to his family and those who knew him. He will forever be cherished in our hearts. Sam is survived by his wife Rebecca; his daughter and son-in-law, Caroline and Ranjit Daniel; his son, Benjamin Samuel; his grandchildren, Michael (Jett) & Luke; father Ammiel Oommen; his sister, Mary George and brother-in-law Pastor John K.
