When we met as teachers in 1985, Sandy and I discovered we were kindred Red Oak, Iowa, spirits. We shared families, friends, pets, art, books, travels, teaching, great food, and laughter. Her devotion to others, her faith in God, and her joy in life are her gifts I hold most dear. I will forever miss you in this life, Sandy, and always hold you close to my heart.

The world was a brighter place with Sandy, it is a lonelier place without her, but the heavens rejoice as an angel comes home.
We love you, Sandy
