Sandra Elaine Landry-Pettit

On Wednesday, July 2, 1952, a beautiful baby girl was named Sandra Elaine. She was born to Ruby Lee Cunningham and James Brown. She attended James D. Burrus Elementary School and Booker T, Washington High School in Houston Texas. She was the oldest of nine children. Sandra confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Church of the Living God by the late Jewel Johnson. She continued to reside there under the leadership of Pastor Anthony Gaskill until her departure. In 1979, Sandra med and fell in love with Ronald Wayne Pettit. They were together for 35 years until her death. Her sister, Debra Gail Thomas preceded her in death. Sandra leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Ruby Lee C. Thomas and father James Brown. The love of her life of 35 years, Ronald Wayne Pettit; son, John Eddie Landry Jr; daughter, Sharonda Denise Baldwin and son-in-law Shon Baldwin, Sr.; one granddaughter, Shondae Ronnise Baldwin; one grandson, Shondrick Dewayne Baldwin Jr. Sibling Debra Thomas, who proceeded her in death; Sharon Thomas, Oletha Blackshire (Greg); Elwood Thomas, Gary Thomas, Pamela Hayes (David), Cynthia Smith (Tim), Sam Thomas (Evelyn); Theresa Brown and Larry Brown. Two aunts, Faye Fields and Virnell Smith; a special brother-in-law Kenneth Pettit Sr. (Gail); God Children, Samantha Thomas and her son Devin Jr., Juanita Perry and Elmoe Bloom. Special friends, Shirley Turner (Sister) and Jackie Woodley (Thank you Jackie for your love and support!); 35 nieces and nephews, 45 great nieces and nephews; all Nanny's babies. A host of special uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
