

Shamsie Sharwayne Taylor, the daughter of Darron Taylor and Lottie Slade was born on a blessed day, April 17, 1985 in Houston, Texas. Her arrival created a legacy of unconditional love, peace and happiness with family and friends. She confessed her love for Christ and was baptized at the age of seven. She graduated from Langham Creek High School in 2003. In 2008, she graduated from the Art Institute of Houston. It was there she developed her artistic skills and abilities which led to her passion for perfection and originality. In 2014, Shamsie began working as Senior HR Administrator for Virtus Partners. In January of 2019, she was promoted to Executive Assistant to the CEO of Virtus Partners. She was a faithful member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. As a result of her generous spirit and loving personality, she was loved by many. She was passionate about her faith, family, and friends, placing great value on God, and always concerned about the well-being of others. She had an unforgettable smile that will stay in our hearts forever. Her Christian life was as beautiful as her creativity, and her influence will remain in the lives of all who knew her. On Thursday, July 18, 2019, Shamsie quietly transitioned from earth to heaven. Shamsie leaves to cherish her memories, a loving and devoted mother and father, Lottie and William Slade, a loving father, Darron Taylor (Jennifer), two loving sisters, Latesha (Branden), and Natasha (Broderick), and a brother Markeith, three nieces, three nephews, a grandfather, Louis Chatman, Jr., and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, other relatives and loving friends.
