Sharon Smith

Sharon Marie Ross, daughter of Lula Mae Ross was born April 19, 1955 in Sunnyside, Texas. She resided in Acres Home, Tx until she passed in her home on June 18, 2019. Sharon accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at New Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age. She attended and graduated from George Washington Carver in 1976, where GOD blessed a meeting between her and Fred Smith, to whom she married and had two beautiful daughters. She loved to work and stay busy. She served many businesses all over the Houston area for many years until she retired from Stevens Elementary in August 31, 2013. She continued the rest of her days unconditionally caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 42 years, Fred Allen Smith, two daughters, Anitura Smith-Whorton and Angela Smith, three grandsons Justin Whorton, Harlem Taylor and Alex Whorton, two granddaughters Miah Smith and Jocelyn Whorton. Her siblings, Mary Johnson, Doris Sharp, Joyce Scyrus (Kenneth), Herman Ross and Eddie Ross. Also two brothers preceded in death William Ross and Robert Ross. Along with a loving host of nieces, nephews and in-laws.
