My Dad---I love and miss YOU!  I still see your image kneeling next to the bed with your feet crossing over each other as if to hold you up with your head slightly on the edge of the bed and your left arm dangling on your side.  Amazingly your pillows still propped up in the same position.  It is like you stood up then knelt down to pray even though you did not have the strength to stand any longer.   Brings comfort that you did not suffer - you passed away peacefully in your home with Mama and Rocky by your side😍.    Thinking about you brings smiles - remember when going out to the dryer at night you would sneak out and scare me when coming out of the garage.  How about us playing dominos - we were a team against Rodney and Dario😄  Remind Rodney that we beat them more than they beat us.   At last, Rodney has a partner to play.   I love you Daddy and miss you.    No, I can't do it.  The family would have a fit if I put that fake hand in the casket that moved - You and I laughed and laughed that it would be funny to do---- I did put the monkey that you liked - Aunt Topsey will love it.  Oh, I have to tell you and Rodney along with Aunt Topsey  - guess what jelly type we had the other day----   Apple Butter ----   brought back my childhood along with the story from Aunt Topsey about you and Apple Butter😄   Don't worry, I will take care of Mama with Rocky by her side.   Tell everyone that we love them and miss them.  Love you Daddy.

Hey papa! I know you are in heaven looking  over the family right now. I want you to know grandma will be fine, we'll take care of her for you. This past week I've been watching the video of you playing the organ at church probably 15 times a day, really missing you, even though it makes me sad, it also makes me happy too. I remember us as kids dancing in the frontroom while you would play the piano like a square dance, wonderful memories.  Watching you play the accordion like it was nothing, impressed me so much as a child, that's what made me want to play the piano but of course I was never even close to being as good as you were. I'm so thankful Christopher and Raul were able to be so close to you, they miss you terribly. Until we see each other again, I love you.💘 

You will be missed by many here on earth but now you can play the piano for your Mama, Aunt T and Topsy as well as our Good Lord that you serve for so many years.  Your service to your community will not be able to be filled. Feeding people in your neighborhood who couldn’t afford food.  You were a very special man!

I would like to share some memories that I think my father would have like to have his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren know about him.  Daddy grew up right after the Great Depression, and his mother, sister and he travelled all over the country performing which allowed them to make a living.  My father played both piano and the accordion and he played them well.  It was a talent the entire family enjoyed and sometimes endured.    He often told us about the pet duck that he kept in the bath tub that his father “sold”.  He was never entirely sure if that duck ended up on the dinner table or not.  He and his sister, Topsy (aka Winnie), would tell us the story of apple butter and how when they were kids, she convinced him that his favorite jelly was really poop; he never ate it again.    He played the organ at church for many years and it was a source of pride for us all.  He did love to visit with Rodney and his family for their Friday family games night.  What a family reunion he is having now, with Rodney, Aunt Topsy, Aunt TeeTee, Maw Maw and all the others!  I last spoke to him on Father’s Day.  I told him I loved him and he told me he loved me too.  You can’t ask for more.  RIP Daddy!  


My sweet daddy… I can’t believe you are actually gone. But, I know you are no longer suffering as you were at the end. I am so truly grateful that I drove in to see you for Father’s Day.  I will cherish the time we spent together that day for the rest of my life.  You were a great daddy  and Papa to my four boys and my grandkids.  I have many fond memories of you but the greatest is being your little pig. Not sure why you came up with that pet name because I was not overweight as a child… And I didn’t like  it as a child but came to cherish it as an adult. One of the last things that we said to each other was that I’d always be your little pig.  I’m sure Rodney, Maw Maw, your great grandson, Cameron Paul and other family were there to greet you in heaven. Know you will be greatly missed. Yes, daddy...I will always be your little pig. I love you so very much!!

My dear sweet daddy! My heart breaks for your passing. But, I know you are in a better place and no longer suffering as you were at the end. I have so many memories but the biggest and fondest memory I have is being your little pig. Never knew the reason that you called me that because I was not overweight but it was a pet name that you gave me. I didn’t like it when I was a child but once I became an adult I have cherished it. One of the last things that you said to me is that I will always be your little pig and I said absolutely. You were a great daddy and Papa to my four boys and grandkids.  I’m sure Rodney, Maw Maw,  Cameron and other family and  friends were there to greet you. Know you will be greatly missed.  I love you Daddy!!

Papa, you were not just my grandpa, you were my dad.  I love you very much and I miss you. But I am comforted by the fact that you are resting in peace with Rodney, your mom, dad, siblings, spunky & sparkle too! Grandma and Rocky surely miss you, so please look over them. Thank you for all you did for me growing up. Little life lessons that I will treasure and because of you I will never put my knee in so sofa ever! LoL. I will never forget you, Papa and will think of you everytime I see orange marshmallow circus peanuts, and Titan Cigars.  I probably will never again see anyone put sliced cheese on top of their ice cream, but you seemed to like it! Thank you for a lot of good memories and all that you did for us. We all miss you and love you so much!
