

Shirley James Jack was born on October 23, 1949 to the late Joseph Lee and Cleethel James, Sr. She attended John H. Reagan High School where she was a graduate of Class of 1970 and then attended South Texas College. She was employed by Christian Learning Center for thirty-one years. Shirley were united in matrimony to Alfred J. Jack on June 5, 1971 and from this union came three children. Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She was loved by everyone that she came in contact with. On Monday, October 8, 2018, Shirley took off her earthly robe to put on her heavenly robe as God sent her an invitation to join him to walk the golden road of eternity. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband of 47 years, Alfred J. Jack; her daughter, Adelaide Jack; two sons, Aldridge and Armond Jack; one grandson, Joshua Jack; two brothers, Lavan James and Robert Lee (Letitia) James; four aunts, Mary Byrd, Della Lewis, Laurie Tolbert and Lottie Jones; four sisters-in-law, Debra Batiste, Vera Henry, Darlene and Barbara Jack; two brothers-in-law, Herman and Allen Ray Jack; godchild, Mary Jack. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Lee and Cleethel James, Sr.; one brother, Joseph Lee James, Jr.
