

Shirley Ann Baker Jackson was born July 9, 1941 in Houston, Tx to Willie Mae Smith Baker and Henry Lee Baker. Both parents preceded in death. Shirley was the second daughetr born to this unity of six girls and one brother. Four of her sisters preceded her in death: Elain Baker Mitchell, Janet Marie Baker, Brenda Joyce Baker, ad Faye Evelyn Baker Pennygraph. Shirley Ann Baker Jackson was joined in holy matrimony to Cecil Terris Jackson on September 19, 1959, and to this union four children was born Lisa LaNell, Joslyn Devette, Cecil Jr. and Yuwanda Sheri. Shirley Ann Baker Jackson was converted to Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. W.E. Walker. She remained a faithful member to Mt. Sinai under the leadership of Dr. S.J. Gilbert II and Dr. S.J. Gilbert Sr., Emeritus. Shirley Ann Baker Jackson graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. She was employed at H.I.S.D. for 26 years. Shirley Ann Baker Jackson leaves to cherish her memories eight grand-children DaCrescha Jackson, Chloe Cauley, Broderick Lightfoot, Tristtan Lightfoot, LaCrecia Jackson, Chmira, KyYawna, Chmyra, Two son-in-laws: Rev Kenneth Cauley, Derrick Doyle, one great-grandson Jalen Fortenberry, one sister Velma Goff (Rev. Jonathan Goff Sr.) Two brother in laws Joe Pennygraph, and James Mitchell. Host of nieces and nephews.
