To my dear family Gutierrez & Perez,
 
I cannot express the pain and sadness that my family and I feel knowing that Tio is gone.
No words can heal the emptiness in our hearts. But the only thing that can be comforting  is that he is at peace.
There are so many memories, stories he would share with everyone, because that's who Tio was.
He was always kind and helpful. With an upbeat attitude most of us young people lack.
He had a strong heart like the War hero that he was and a sharp vivid mind that most of us don't have.
We looked up to him, we admired him, we respected him. 
Thank you Tio for always being there for us and for everyone else who's lives you touched.
Thank you for being part of our lives for your teachings and opinions and advice. Thank you for being the good friend, the father, the husband, the grandfather and the mentor and the poet…
I will always have a cup of coffee for you and Rick will always have a song to play!. Our road trips are pending so we can go wherever the wind takes us…
You will be missed so much!

Popo, I really can't believe your gone. It's hard for me to accept the fact that I will never see your face again when I go to your house, or that I will never get a 7:00 in the morning call from u again. I would be lying if I told you that I wasn't angry at the fact that you were taken from me but the only thing that brings peace to my heart is that you are no longer suffering. You are at peace now. My babies are going to miss the icecream, the bread with butter and brown sugar that only their Popo could make could make for them. I really wish you could  be there with me next week to welcome your great grandson into the world but I know you'll be there in spirit. I'm going to miss you so much! I ? YOU! This is not a goodbye...it's a I'll see you later! Until we meet again my handsome angel.

Uncle Sotero I am going to miss you. I can remember being real little and you being so kind to me. I wish I could have been able to visit you more often. But I will remember all the good times we spent together while visiting in Allende. Love you always! And to My Aunt Mary I love you! and to Lupe always hold your head up high. To Sotero, you have always try helping others and you were successful , God has called you to help others and look down to guide by your spirit , I remember all the love you gave and continue to give.This is what you have given to your family 
Sotero , you will be missed . 

To Maria ,I want to Thank you for loving and taking care of Sotero, he need someone to take care of him. He was always a big baby and he loved you.
To Lupitas , you have always been there for your dad and he always has love you , just remember the good times and he will never leave you
Sotero, when you see my dad tell him i love him, I miss him and tell him he is the rock in my world.

I had the great pleasure of knowing him. I will miss him.

Joe, you don't know how much I will miss you,it was a honer and great privilege to know you. I know you are with God telling him your great stories of your life.I will miss hearing them myself. you will always be by my heart,i will never forget you.

Their greatest joy was making others happy. You are blessed to have had him in your life for so long and nothing I say can make you feel better. I am sorry for your loss.

My loving grandfather, I am going to miss you unconditionally, you taught me so much within the time I had with you, to respect, honor, love,cherish everyone that surronds me. No words can explain the relationship you and I share, i wish i could sit there and get one more story about the war from you, one more time you can pick me up from davila and go and get an ice cream and let it melt in your truck. One last time i can hug you and tell you i love you to whisper in your ear and say the meaning you brought to my life. I have so much to say but ill leave this message by saying this.
