

Soyla Passed away on the 3 April 2020 at the age of 92 with family by her side. She was born on Oct 21, 1927 in Texas to Benancio and Ramona Moreno. Her life was spent taking care of her growing family which meant everything to her. Soyla married Juan Chapa on July 15, 1946 and they lived in Downtown Houston most of her life. Later she moved to Northwest Houston where she would watch her children’s Children grow. As most everyone knew her as “Grandma” was always excited to see a new Great or Great Great Grandchild, her eyes would light up and she would have a smile as big as Texas.
Survivors are her loving Children: Maria Elena(Dee Dee), Guadalupe (Lupe), Juan (Johnny) ( Jessica), Jose Luis (Joe), Ramon (Raymond) (Tonya), Angelita (Angie) (Jeff), Dolores, Theresa (Terry) (Jimmy), Anna, Patricia (Carol), Martin and Steven. Siblings: Bictoria (Vita) and Jose (Joe). Grandchildren: David, Frank, Deborah, Patricia, Ryan, Jacqueline, Janelle, Jonathan, AJ, Joe, Allahana, Elizabeth, Michael, Ramon, Randy, Roselyn, Amy, Isabelle, Fatmeh, April, Larry, Stephanie, Soyla, & Jimmy. Numerous Great and Great Great Grandchildren along with numerous Nieces and Nephews. The Chapa family would like to give a Special Thanks to Stella Smith and Kay Jordan her care givers.
