Stella Louise Urdiales

Stella was born to Daniel Ybarra and Caroline Pacheco Ybarra,

August 15, 1948, in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Milby High

School in 1966. She married Richard Urdiales Sr in 1967, and they

lived together in Houston, TX. Together they raised three children.

She is survived by: Richard Jr, Christopher, and Melanie, along with

her three grandchildren Sofia Urdiales and Hailey & Jonathan

Hernandez. She also leaves to cherish her memory many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Richard Urdiales Sr -Husband, Joey

Ybarra - Brother, Daniel Ybarra - Brother, Pauline Ybarra - Sister,

Robert Ybarra - Brother, Elizabeth Ybarra - Sister, and her parents

Stella worked in many jobs over the years. She was one of the first

Computer Operators at the Credit Union, a Telephone Operator at

Southwestern Bell, and a Newspaper Carrier for the Houston Post.

Her final role was as Treasurer of Astec Carbides, a custom machine shop. She enjoyed shopping, dining, and going to the beach. As a grandmother, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, crocheting, shopping, and attending their school activities.

A Visitation and Funeral is scheduled for July 6 at 9:00am at Forest

Park Lawndale. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family

requests that monetary donations be made to plant a Tree Grove in

her name. The family would like to thank all the caretakers who

created a caring and comfortable environment for Stella.
