Stephen Francis

Stephen Anthony Francis was born December 18, 1951 in Houston, Texas. He is survived by his mother: Willie Mae Francis, sons: Sebastian and Rashad (Genee), siblings: Sterling (Selena), Jacqueline, David (Sondra), Joan, ex-wife: Barbara Cole Francis, a devoted companion: Cheryl Atkinson and her grandson Jeremy, and a close friend: Darrell Green, as well as, by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Stephen graduated from Lincoln High School, attended Rice University and Texas A&I, received a Bachelor's Degree from Prairie View A&M University, and obtained a Master's Degree from Texas Southern University. As a long time employee at Houston Independent School District, Stephen was a teacher, an athletic coach, and an administrator. Stephen enjoyed attending family celebrations and was a great sports spectator. He could perform intricate repairs on almost anything and restored items to its original condition. He was proceeded in death by his father: Wilford Francis, siblings: Russell and Paul Francis, and nieces: Lisa Francis-Kirk and Bridget Francis.
