Stephen Allen Richardson

Stephen Allen Richardson was born July 31, 1954 at Madigan Army hospital in Tacoma, Washington. He went home to Heaven April 9, 2017. He is survived by daughter Katelyn Richardson Burris and husband Ryan; granddaughter Brynlee, mother Mary Jo, brother Randy and wife Terrie, brother Paul and wife Jackie, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous loved ones and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Jimmy.

Steve grew up in Spring, Texas when it was actually a rural area. He was a free-spirit who was always polite to his elders, listened to their advice, but then went on about his business and did exactly what he wanted to with his brothers and many friends from high school in tow. He had a dry wit about him that was sharp, and sometimes really funny. He graduated from Spring High School in 1974.

He was a long time employee of Southern Pacific Railroad and then Sam Houston Race Park.

The last few years Steve battled multiple health issues.

He had one granddaughter, Brynlee, who in her three years, brought him so much joy and happiness. For those that knew him, it is hard to believe that he spent his final months having tea parties, playing Barbies, and being "Catboy" to Brynlee's "Owlette".

Steve will forever remain in our hearts.
