Steven Glyn Patterson

Steven Glyn Patterson, 60, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Born on September 18, 1965, Steven was a devoted husband, father, grumps, brother, and friend whose faith in Jesus Christ guided the way he lived and loved.



Steven was preceded in death by his beloved son, Connor Daniel Patterson; his mother, Linda Patterson Dillard; his father, Kenneth Orban Patterson; his maternal grandparents, Mary Edna Gorham and William "Bill" Gorham; and his paternal grandparents, Mae Miller Patterson and Raymond Patterson.



He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Lori Lynn Patterson; his son, Steven Garrett Patterson and wife, Kim; his brothers, Scott Patterson and wife, Cyndi, Lee Patterson and wife, Amber, and Adam Patterson and wife, Sarah.



He was a proud “Grumps” to grandchildren Paige Lynn, Parker Glyn, and Palmer Daniel, who were among the greatest joys of his life. He is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and treasured friends.



Steven graduated from La Porte High School before attending San Jacinto College. Throughout his career, he worked for Staefa, Siemens, HTS, and Tekplan, where he was respected for his dedication, integrity, and hard work.



Steven was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and most recently attended Houston Northeast Church. His relationship with Christ was the foundation of his life and a source of strength for his family.



He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life, including coin collecting, scuba diving, woodworking, traveling, and camping. Whether working on a project, being outside, or spending time with those he loved, Steven found joy in making memories and sharing experiences with family and friends.



Above all, Steven cherished his family. He will be remembered for his Grumpy personality, his unending acts of service and love, his unwavering courage and bravery, his strength, his ability to always show up for his family and friends regardless of his health and his unwavering faith that always carried him through. While his passing leaves a tremendous void, his family finds comfort in the promise that he is now in the presence of his Savior, healed of all his many wounds, and reunited with those who have gone before him.
