Sue was born and married in her home town of Henderson, Kentucky. The couple married in 1951 and had two loving daughters, Stephanie Dahman and Kimberly Murnane. Joe and Sue moved to Houston in 1967 where they raised their daughters with summer and holiday trips to their beloved Kentucky.
Sue was a devoted Christian and a member of Tallowood Baptist Church for over 40 years. When Sue could no longer make it to the church the church would come to her. Every few weeks a church member would make the drive over to see her and they would read from her much worn bible.
Sue was known for her sweet smile and soft spoken way. When asked what her mother’s profession was, her daughter simply replied “Mom.” Sue loved being a mother and grandmother. Sue will be missed by all who have had the pleasure of knowing her.
Sue’s family would like to give a special thanks to Natasha L. Davis and the staff at “Caring Hearts 24/7,” who provided daily care and companionship for Sue in her last years on earth. A special thanks goes out to all the “Joann’s” who were with “Miss Sue” in her time of need.
Sue is survived by her daughter’s Stephanie Dahman and Kimberly Murnane, sons-in-law, Daryl Dahman and Mike Murnane, granddaughter’s Erin Dahman and Alyssa Dahman, grandson Travis Murnane, and great grandson Joseph Murnane.
Donations in Joe and Sue’s name can be made to the University of Kentucky alumni association.
