Sybil Forgety, 84, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, August 29th, 2012. She was born in Emory Texas on November 9th, 1927. She later moved to Houston where she met and married her husband of 30 years, Ned Harold Forgety (affectionately known to friends as Tommy). Together they had four children, Shirley Lavelle, James Harold, Tina Denise, and Ollie Michele. Sybil was a compassionate person and was always caring for other people. She started when she was just a teenager when she dropped out of school during her senior year to care for her mother. She continued that trend of caring for other people throughout the years by helping to raise several of her grandchildren and even one of her great-grandchildren. Sybil is preceded in death by her husband, Ned Harold Forgety, her mother, Stella Kingry, and her sister Mattie Andrews. She is survived by her children as well as 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held September 4th at Forest Park Lawndale at 1:00 pm with visitation on Monday, September 3rd, 5:00-8:00 pm.
