Sydney Jean Williams, 79, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patrice Marie Hurst; son, Errol Joseph Hurst, Sr.; parents, Jack and Sydney McGilbert; and sister Jacque Lynn Ally. Survived by son, Meishan McGilbert; son, Dominic Hurst and wife Cheryl; daughter, Tanya Marie Williams; son, Edward Ray Williams; son-in-law, Mark Mays and daughter-in-law, Elaine McGilbert 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lottie Jackson Greene and Eleanor Ruth DeVaughn; and numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven.
