She was married to Israel F. Garza for 58 years. She had a passion for cooking, painting and sewing.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Israel F. Garza, her children: Israel, Jr, Isaac and Irene, her brother Hector Munoz, and her grandchildren David, Robert, Christina and Julian.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Elena Munoz.
Serving as pallbearers are Israel Garza, Sr. Israel Garza, Jr. ,Irene Pabon, Christina Pabon, Julian Pabon and Isaac Garza,.
Sylvia was born and raised in Escobares, Texas. She moved later in life and lived in the Panhandle of Texas and then eventually settled in Houston, TX. She was a beautiful person who spread joy and happiness wherever she went. She was very supportive of all her family members and will always be remembered for her big smile.
A visitation for Sylvia will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Earthman Resthaven, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. A reception will occur Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060.
