Taunia Renee Freeman was born Thursday, January 27, 1977, in Houston, daughter of Robert Christopher and Amelia Gomez Freeman. She most enjoyed her time with family and friends and her work in a pediatric clinic. Also important were learning, including ROTC, graduating from Milby High School and nurse training. The love of her life was her precious son, Noah, who thrived on her devoted mothering. She left this earthly life on Monday, April 18, 2011, but will live on in the hearts of the many people she touched and with the God she served. Besides her parents and son, Taunia leaves behind brothers Robert and Matthew and sister Sara, grandmother Verna Freeman, husband Javier Rodriguez and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins on both sides of her close-knit family. Visitation will be 3-9pm Sunday, April 24 at Forest Park Lawndale with a rosary at 7pm. Mass will be 10am Monday, April 25 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 6723 Whitefriars Drive Houston, TX 77087. Interment at Forest Park East, Webster, Texas. An educational fund has been set up for Taunia's son.
