Thelma Elizabeth Brooks

Thelma Elizabeth Brooks, born December 30, 1914 to George and Iola Miller in Bernardo, Texas, passed away July 22, 2011 in The Woodlands, Texas. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Foster B. Brooks, and her brother, Wink F. Miller. She is survived by children, James F. Brooks and wife, Dottie, Peggy A. Blount and husband, Michael, and Rebecca Adams and husband, Keith; the “Royal Grandmother” is also survived by grandchildren, Christine, Laura, Jeffrey, James, and Robert, and Kirk, Michael, and Jessica, and Tom, Melissa, Michael, and Randy; great-grandchildren, Christian, Mackenzie, Kaylie, and Sadie, and Berkley, and Jeffrey, Carys, Lana, and Madelyn, and by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2011 in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home, where a rosary and vigil service will begin at 7:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at All Saints Catholic Church, 215 East 10th Street, Houston, Texas 77008. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
