A simple man at heart, T.J. will be remembered for his straightforward attitude, hardworking nature, and unmistakable grumpy old man persona, insults included. Above all else, he will be remembered for his generous heart, and caring spirit. He was quick to call you a dumbass, but even quicker to lend a helping hand, usually accompanied by a dose of brutal honesty and a shot of tough love. He had a way of making those he loved feel seen, loved, and safe. He was a fierce protector of those he kept close and he made sure of that by showing up. He showed that the most meaningful forms of love can be impactful by being there for the biggest and smallest milestones. T.J.’s love was constant.
T.J. can be described by his own father as a great son, and even better dad! His greatest joy and proudest accomplishments was raising his son, Jason Alexander Palomo. Their bond knows no bounds in this life and what is beyond it. His unwavering loyalty and love is an undeniable legacy that he will endure time. To know Jason is to know how amazing his dad was. They enjoyed countless concerts and fishing trips together and created memories that will be cherished always.
Nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his son, godson, Adrien, bonus babies, Jaelyn, Sydney, Andrew, Jaycob, Jaythan, Aaron, Nehemiah (Nemo), Alex, Adrian, and Adam: and countless others who held a special place in his heart. The way he played a hand is toughening up the boys in life as they matured into young men was truly something to marvel. Make no mistake, he made sure the girls didn’t let anyone push them around. Each one of their lives was touched by his abundant love and unconditional care.
T.J.’s legacy is not measured simply by the years he lived, but by the lives he touched, the lessons he imparted, and the love he gave so freely. His words may not always have been gentle, but his love was undeniable. And for those fortunate enough to have been loved by him, that love will remain a constant, even in his absence.
