

Tom was born in on July 29, 1943, to Mary Virginia ("Gina") Moore and Thomas L. Moore Jr. Tom spent all of his early years and into his career in the airline industry in Houston Texas and then in the 70s he relocated to Miami Florida where he spent many years as a resident of South Miami and Kendall, Florida, before making his home in Islamorada where he has enjoyed the past 18 years of his life.
Tom built a career in the airline and travel industry, a profession that allowed him to explore the world by both air and sea. His travels introduced him to countless people and cultures, experiences he cherished and eagerly shared with others.
Known for his warm personality and genuine interest in people, Tom was a gifted conversationalist who knew not only how to tell a story, but also how to listen. Friends, family, and even strangers were drawn to his kindness, wisdom, and engaging presence.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth Houck Moore; his children, Toni Benfatto Moore, Niki Adams, and John Moore; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
Tom's life was defined by curiosity, connection, adventure, and love for his family. His memory will live on in the stories he shared, the lives he touched, and the many cherished moments spent with those who knew him best.
Tom will be make his final resting place back in Houston Texas where his family is memorialised.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
