Thomas Brent O'Donnell

Born in Lubbock, Texas, Brent was the son of Roy Joseph O'Donnell and Glen Ollie (Thurman) O'Donnell. He graduated from Frenship High School and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Following his military service, Brent continued his education at Texas Tech University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education.

Brent spent his professional career in the oil and gas industry, dedicating his working years to an industry deeply rooted in Texas.

A true outdoorsman, Brent enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. Whether spending time in the great outdoors or enjoying a day on the golf course, he found pleasure in the activities he loved.

On January 3, 1979, Brent married Mary Ann (Gose) O'Donnell. Together, they shared more than 47 years of marriage and welcomed their son, Thomas Bodie O'Donnell, known as Bodie. Brent and Mary Ann made their home in Houston, Texas.

Brent is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann O'Donnell; his son, Bodie O'Donnell and wife Jennifer; his three brothers, Roy Joseph O'Donnell and wife Beverly, James Landell O'Donnell and wife Renee, and John Eugene O'Donnell and wife Cheryl; his sister-in-law, Nancy (Gose) Bennett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Joseph O'Donnell and Glen Ollie (Thurman) O'Donnell; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James G. Gose and Helen Elizabeth Gose; and his brother-in-law, George "Bert" Bennett.

Brent leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished by his family and friends. His legacy lives on through those who knew and loved him, and he will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Memorial Service A memorial service celebrating Brent's life will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale, located at 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023.

Family and friends are welcome to gather beginning at 10:00 a.m., prior to the memorial service.

Inurnment will follow immediately after the memorial service at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
