Thomas “Tommy” Frank Pusateri passed away after a brief illness on July 3, 2026. Tommy was born to Frank and Audrey Pusateri November 15,1948 in Houston Texas where he spent his entire life. He is survived by his sisters Marilyn Burt and JoAnn Tollett and many nieces and nephews and their children as well as many friends.
Tommy was a man with an entrepreneurial and self-reliant spirit. As a young boy he first exercised these traits by tending to a newspaper route. Some of those first fruits of labor were used to pay his own way through St. Thomas High School, where he was a proud eagle and clarinet player in the band. He graduated from the University of Houston and would tell anyone who would listen he was a Cougar. He was a very proud Texan and loved his country.
In life he pursued many ventures including working for Weingarten’s ultimately becoming a store manager at the Stella Link location. Tommy went on to start and manage many other successful business ventures finally as an independent landman in Caldwell County.
Tommy had a passion for golf with regular outings to Sharpstown golf course with a close-knit group of friends. If Tommy was in a room, you knew it and if he was speaking to you, he was paying attention. He had a knack for making people feel special.
His presence among his close family will be missed, especially on the Holidays. He loved his sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Family was very important to Tommy as were his golfing partners.
Most importantly, Tommy came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. There is little doubt that he has taken his seat at our Lord’s eternal banquet.
A funeral service and interment will be made at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery 6900 Lawndale Houston TX, starting on Monday, July 13, 2026 with a visitation at 1 pm followed by a service, graveside and reception. All friends, family and acquaintances are welcome to come and pay their respects.
