With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Dr. Valentina Ugolini, a devoted mother, grandmother, and esteemed cardiologist, who left us on March 17, 2025, at the age of 72. She passed away in Texas, where she built a life filled with love, purpose, and an unwavering dedication to the well-being of others.
Born in Rome, Italy, Valentina carried with her a deep appreciation for history, art, and culture. She was passionate about painting, poetry, Greek mythology, and travel, always seeking to expand her understanding of the world. Her intellectual curiosity was matched only by her commitment to preventive wellness, believing deeply in the power of nutrition and exercise to heal and strengthen the body.
As a cardiologist, Valentina was more than a doctor—she was a lifesaver, an advocate, and a relentless seeker of answers. She never stopped at the surface, spending hours researching to ensure her patients received the best care possible. Her kindness was profound, her compassion endless, and her dedication unparalleled. She touched countless lives, both inside and outside the hospital, always striving to make the world a healthier and better place.
Valentina is survived by her beloved daughters Laura, Christina, and Francesca, and her cherished granddaughters Clara and Emma. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, wisdom, and healing will live on in those she leaves behind.
A private funeral will be held with close family. In honor of Valentina’s love for the arts, donations may be made to the Houston Grand Opera in her memory. To make a donation, please contact Sarah at 713-546-0276.
Her kindness and dedication to others made the world brighter. She will be forever loved and remembered.
