There isn't a day that I don't think of you Aunt Velma. How I'd love for you to be here sharing and making memories. When I see your face in pictures at home, I feel warm in my heart and smile because I feel you're near watching over me and whispering that you love me. I often get the sense that you're with me at times and I love that. My Mom and Dad miss you so much. Honestly, it just isn't the same without you and Uncle Joe. I will forever love you.

My sincerest condolences to cousins Linda, Joey, Jerry and families. My heart is with you and Velma. She was such a beautiful, authentic and loving person. Very special indeed.

What a blessing to have a long life...though we are never ready to say goodbye to our Mother, Grandmother or friend yet, heaven is always ready for us, prepared with a mansion and a magnificent reunion of those we love. Velma is one of the most beautiful women i had the pleasure of know.  She also has a beautiful and loving family.  My prayers are with you always and in this difficult time.

There are days that will stay with us for the rest of our lives residing in our memory. Some are good and some are very sad. I have few, but clear, memories of  my beloved Aunt Velma.   It is never easy saying goodbye to a loved family  member who has passed away, especially someone  who was a positive influence in many people's lives.   Although we have not seen each other in a few years she was a truly special aunt to many of us. She was always very accommodating and would show her dedication and loyalty . She had a way about her that just made you like her. She was genuine and sincere always.As I  listened the family and friends talk of Velma I realized  that she touched everyone who came into her life. She was a devoted wife and mother , a devoted Aunt, and devoted friend. You could sense the warmth and love emanating from her family, her friends and all who knew her and her and her work in the catholic church.Velma was called by God because of her gentleness and  kindness and love for Him. We are happy for her for she surely will go to Heaven but we will miss her dearly.  I feel so sad for family who must live their lives without her there. I know that when others speak  fondly and lovingly of their mom that it will comfortthem. I pray for the family and for her family to be comforted at this very sad and difficult time. I believe that Velma would want her family and friends to live their lives and to just cherish the times shared.  She would want them to carry on as usual with hope in their hearts of an eternity with God. May she rest in peace.

Velma, you are a shining and brilliant star!!  You were my friend and I am so proud of all you instilled in me.  I am one of the many lucky ones you crossed paths with.  Everyone that knew you; knew your kind and gentle ways.  You are a true angel.  You were always so good to me and my boys Sam and Matt.  We will miss your presence but will not forget you. its 10 oclock and i just open my fb and who do i see but jerry. I was shocked to read the comments from friends about my dear friend Velma. I am so shocked,sadden and lost for words. You and Joe were witness to our nupitals thru the church and I remember how exicited you were that we had taken such a STEP toward fullfilling our oblgation to our faith. You have been my inspiration to become a true follower of CHRIST. sleep well my friend for you are home and have view our fathers face and Mother Mary welcomes you Home.Richard and I will forever hold you and Joe dear to our hearts, thanks for all the memories, laughter, nervous encounters and for never making fun of our marriage because or our age difference. Godmother, Richard and I will celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary this year. our last conversation you told me "Frances you know I Love ya'll" and i responded we do too. Aunt Velma you left us so abruptly, without warning, no one expected this. I just spoke to you, you wanted to come visit us this summer. We had such great telephone conversations. It doesn't feel real. I'm in shock! You were always so kind and made me feel so loved. You loved everyone equally. I close my eyes as I lay and hear you speaking to me. Giving me words of comfort. Is this real? I will miss you so much but I find comfort in knowing you will always be around guiding and protecting us. I really feel in my heart you and Uncle Joe are reunited. Happy together once again forever and ever. I love you so much and will miss you terribly:(

What a sweet and special lady.  Aunt Velma was so important to so many people.  She will be very missed, but she will bask in glory with Uncle Joe and those who have gone before her.
