Vera K. Byars

Vera Byars, 101 years of age, died December 22, 2018. She had been a resident of Houston for over 60 years. She retired from HISD in 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Byars Sr. She is survived by sons; John Jr. and wife Sharon; Richard Byars, and one daughter Karen Campbell and husband Alan Campbell and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Vera was a member of Norhill Church of Christ. Her funeral be conducted by Bro. Roland Amador. Buriel will be at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetary. Pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
