Vernie Lee Hill

Vernie Lee Hill was born in New Waverly, Texas on February 23,1946 to Cole Hill Sr. and Lillie Pearl Goffney Hill Bradford. He was proceeded in death by Cole Hill Sr., Lillie Pear Goffney Hill Bradford, and Herndon Bradford. In addition his sisters Pamela Elizabeth Hill, Alicia Marie Hill, Rhonda Lynn Hill, and Margarette Ann Dennis also proceeded him in death. He attended Pleasantville Elementary, E.O. Smith, and Phyllis Wheatley High. After high school he entered in the U.S. Air force and upon being honorably discharged he began a career with Shell Oil chemical for 40 years until retirement. He confessed his love for Christ at an early age and was baptized at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist church under the pastorage of the late Reverend Hayward Wiggins.He was married to Carolyn Crawford Hill. To this union Veronica Hill Washington ( Larry J.) was born. He then married Gwendolyn Shelton Hill. To this union Monica Lynette Hill, Vernon Lee Hill, Jr. (Ericka) were born. At the time of his passing he was married to Tonya Bullard Hill. To this union Cantrell Hill was born. He leaves to cherish his memory, his grandchildren, Xaviyon Tyerrell Mangum (Lisandra), Amber Chrishon Mangum,Trevaun Jabrell Mangum (Yessica), Raigan Hill, Tamia Brown Hill, Nicholas Day, Cameron Hill, and one great granddaughter  Isabella Claire Mangum. He also leaves his siblings, Robert Bradford Cole Hill Jr., Anthony Hill, Grady Bradford, Paula Peterson, Jennifer Bradford, and Edward Earl Hill (Vernadine) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
