

Vincent Chiodo, Jr. was born on June 7, 1941, in Houston, Texas, to parents: General Vincent Chiodo, Sr. and mother, Theresa Robito Chiodo. He passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 83. He graduated from St. Thomas High School and attended University of Houston. He served in the United States Air Force for 2 years, after which he became an insurance agent in the family business, Vincent Chiodo Insurance Agency. He met his future wife Virginia in Houston on a blind date and shortly thereafter the couple was married on February 20, 1971. They stayed settled in Houston and had three daughters. For several years he owned a video store downtown but later returned to the insurance industry with Farmers Insurance and A.F.L.A.C until his retirement in 2023.
He was a member of St. Francis de Sales (Knights of Columbus), Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, and St. Faustina (Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion).
He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, watching police/crime shows, and indulging in his favorite Italian dishes. He will be remembered as a kind, caring, and gentleman, who loved his family dearly and was devoted to his faith and church.
He was preceded in death by his youngest daughter, Susan Theresa Chiodo, his parents, Father and Mother-in-law, Cecil O. and Virginia Wilkinson, sister, Mary Chiodo Hartwell, Brother-in-laws Charles N. Schwarz Jr and Cecil Wilkinson. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Virginia Wilkinson Chiodo, his daughters, Jennifer Claire Chiodo and Karen Chiodo Arnoldi and her husband Justin Arnoldi, his grandchildren, Tessa Susan, Dillon Anthony, and Ethan Vincent Arnoldi, his sister Rosalie Chiodo Schwarz, and numerous nieces and nephews.
We thank the staff at Summers Cottage and Choice Hospice for their loving care in his final days.
A funeral service will take place on June 26th, 2024 at St. Faustina Catholic Church 28102 Fm 1093 Rd, Fulshear, TX 77551. He will be laid to rest next to his daughter, Susan, at the Abbey Mausoleum at Forest Park Lawndale 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, Tx 77023. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Academy, 9000 Bellaire Blvd., Houston, Tx 77036. Please note it is for the Susan Theresa Chiodo Scholarship Fund.
