

Virginia "Ginny" Allen went to be with her Lord March 2nd after a long and beautiful 91 years of life. Virginia was born in Waco, Texas on July 15, 1923. She moved to Houston when she was a baby and lived there the next 84 years. The last five years she lived with her daughter in Fontana, California.
Virginia was a happy, fun-loving person who always enjoyed life and the people around her. She was a dental assistant in her early years, but spent the majority of her life as a full-time wife, mother, and grandmother. Her parents Sam and Paula moved from Sicily in 1905. She was the last of ten children. In June of 1957 she married Charles Allen and had two children. Her daughter Gail and son Kim. They were the focus of her life along with all of her family and friends.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Gail Renegar and her husband Todd of Fontana, CA, son Kim Allen and his wife Joyce of College Station, TX, granddaughter Megan Hsu and her husband Ching-Yao (Jonathan) of West Covina, CA, her sister Julie Martin of College Station, TX, and a host of nephews and nieces who loved her dearly.
Family and friends gathered for a visitation from 4:00pm until 6:00pm on Sunday, March 8, at Waltrip Funeral Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston, where funeral services were held in the chapel at 2:00pm on Monday, March 9, Reverend Dr. Todd Renegar officiated. Graveside services and interment followed at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, also in Houston.
