

Virginia Marie Crutcher Coleman, 84 born September 5, 1934 and passed away December 9, 2018 was born in East Bernard, Texas the oldest daughter of Louis Henry Crutcher and Mamie Thelma Willis Crutcher.
She moved to Houston at a young age and grew up in the West End area of Houston. She met the love of her life, Robert William Coleman while attending Reagan High School in the Heights. They were married on March 26, 1952. She worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone in the 1950’s through the 1960’s, worked in Cypress Fairbanks ISD as a kindergarten aide; she was a member of Remnants Church and was preceded in death by her parents and also by her brother, Tommie Pickering.
Marie is survived by her loving husband of over 66 years, Robert and their children, daughter Deborah Coleman Williams and husband, Gary of Bellaire; daughter, Janet Coleman DeFoor and husband, Dale of Sugar Land; son, Douglas Coleman of Houston, son, Jeffrey Coleman of Houston, and sisters Thelma Caesar and Carolyn Gentry, both of Houston.
She is also survived by her granddaughter, Traci DeFoor Wallach and husband, Michael of Dickinson and her great grandson, Samuel Wallach, and special nieces and nephew, Natalie Gentry, Karen Johns and Wallace Caesar.
Marie enjoyed gardening, camping, garage sales and loved to shop. She and Robert loved to joy ride on Sunday afternoons and grab donuts on the way. They also enjoyed taking cruises.
