Virginia Evelyn Crawford Howell, 91, peacefully passed away on November 1, 2012 surrounded by family and friends. Virginia was born on September 9, 1921 in Muldoon, Texas and graduated from Flatonia High School. She always had a smile on her face and a caring heart. Virginia’s life was filled with love for her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Wallace Eldridge Howell; brother, Thomas Gwen Davis and sister, Mary Ruscher. She is survived by her two daughters Barbara Jean Holland and Patsy Mae Coleman and husband, Carl Coleman and three grandchildren; James Christopher Holland, Jason Craig Holland and Lisa Evelyn Ricks and husband, Robert Ricks; one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Mae Ricks and nieces, Mary Lou Crossley and Tammie Crossley. The family would like to thank her caregivers, special neighbors and her treasured friend, Dolores Cardenas. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will follow Tuesday, November 6, 2012 in The Main Chapel at Forest Park Lawndale at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Pitman Cemetery in Muldoon, Texas at 3:30 pm.
