Virginia was born on May 23, 1939 in Houston Texas to her parents Virgie Inez Knight and Thomas Marvin Knight and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1957. She had an undeniable work ethic and during her life was successful in many business ventures. She studied business and held various jobs for Woolworths, Danburgs Department store and Pioneer Veterinary Supply. While working at Pioneer she met her soulmate in T. Bradley Jones. They wed on October 5, 1979 and for the next 36 years they were rarely out of each other’s sight. She and her husband founded both Modern Veterinary Supply and Custom Packaging. At the time of her passing Virginia served as CEO of Custom Packaging.
Virginia, or “Teenie” as her husband lovingly called her, was a woman who loved life. She enjoyed spending time watching her Astros, Rockets and Texans, laughing around the kitchen table and taking care of everyone. She lived a servant’s life and had a heart for others. Countless people were welcomed into her home for a day, month and even years. No one ever felt like a stranger around Teenie. For the past several years she was dedicated to caring for her husband. She loved to cook and spend time with family. She loved the Lord and celebrated the fact that she had recently read the Bible cover to cover!
Though she is missed, her family knows she is at peace and watching over them daily.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Sonny Knight. She is survived by her husband, Brad Jones; daughters, Traci Wills and husband John; Tracy Christie and husband Terry; Robin Lowe and husband David.
