Virginia White

Virginia, also known as Trixie, was born on November 29th, 1930 in Houston, TX to Essie and Charley Corley. A lifelong Houstonian who graduated from Milby High School.

After graduation she married and had daughters Delinda Sue and Karen Lynn Smelser. In 1958 she married husband Julian White and had a son Mark Howard White.

Virginia loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of Pineview Bible Chapel which she attended since the 1950s. She also loved attending the Women's Retreat and volunteering at Sandy Creek Bible Camp in Washington, TX every year.

She will be remembered as Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Christian, Friend, the host of family gathering & Christmas Eve and being the most loving soul you could ever have known.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Julian; parents Charley and Essie; siblings Jewel Howard, Frances “Rene” Street, Charley “Markham” Corley, Thomas “Virgil” Corley, Helen Sechelski, and Robert Corley. She is survived by her daughter Delinda Wilker of Houston TX; daughter Karen and husband Randy Adkins of Washington, TX; son Mark and wife Marilyn White of Waller, TX; granddaughter Mary Ellen Adkins Bell and husband Ian Bell of Katy, TX; granddaughter Sarah Adkins of Katy, TX; sister-in-law Jean Corley of Houston, TX and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A visitation for Virginia will be held Monday, January 3, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 3, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, with a graveside service to follow.
