

On June 8, 1933, a quiet little boy was born to the late Tee Sanders and Sarah Wade-Sanders of Henderson, Texas whom they name Wade Odell Sanders. He attended school in Henderson, where he graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. Directly after graduating from school he was drafted in the Army during the Korean War (1950). He was honorably discharged after 2 years and moved to Houston, TX, where he furthered his education at Prairie View A & M University and Texas Southern University receiving his Masters in Mathematics. During his continued education, he met Margaret A. Hannibal whom he later married in June 1960. From this union they had one daughter they name Valerie Latise Sanders. Wade was dedicated to his career as a supervisor at Jake’s Finer Foods for 30 plus years before he retired. At 3a.m. on December 19, 2017, God saw that Wade was getting tired, so he took his hand and led him home. He is proceeded in his death by his mother and father, ten brothers, one sister and his wife Margaret A. Hannibal-Sanders. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving daughter Valerie L. Sanders-Atkins(Jimekia), his four grandchildren Corland Atkins, Sherman Atkins, Oliver Atkins, and Syriah Atkins, his only living brother Carlton Sanders, a sister in law Ora B. Sanders, a special lady friend Robyn Robertson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
