

He was a long time member of Berean Baptist Church. Walter served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II and, retired with 39 years of service from Wyatt Industries. He was blessed to enjoy a very long retirement and had a great love of the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving and precious wife of over 70 years, Lera. Also surviving are his daughters, Shirley Bryant, Sandy Nichols and husband, Billy, Jeannie Reese and husband, Bob; grandchildren, James and David Embry, Jason Reese, melinda Kraft, Wesley Nichols, Nichole McHaney, Jenna and Jamie Reese; great-grandchildren, Joshua and Jordan Embry, Bella and Victoria Kraft , Hailey Reese, Jenna Embry, Gracelyn Nichols, Madeline Reese and Brock Nichols.
The family will receive visitors from 12 Noon until 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2009 at Berean Baptist Church, 10250 N. Frwy. Services will begin at 1:00 P.M., Rev. Lester Hutson, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery,
