Wanda Ruth Harris, age 89, passed away on February 21, 2014. She was born on March 29, 1924. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Allan Herschel Harris, her mother Zora Cates, her father Joseph Pyle, her brother J. C. Pyle, her sister Fay Blount, and her great-granddaughter Lori Larkin. Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Dietra Smith and husband Don (Richmond); Nicolette Ballard and her husband Glen (Lubbock); Larry Harris and his wife Vicki (Houston); and Richard Harris and his wife Jenice (Rosenberg). Mee-Maw, as her grandchildren called her, included Scott Smith, Ronnie Smith, Amy Mullican, David Harris, Nelson Larkin, Ryan Ballard, and Erin Waedemon. She also leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Funeral services will follow immediately afterwards at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
