William Vernon Bennett, age 99, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018. Born June 6, 1918 in Baltimore, MD, he moved to Houston, Texas at 6 weeks of age. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothie Miner Bennett. Survived by son, William "Skip" Bennett; daughter, Nancy "Candy" Roberts and husband Allen; grandchildren, Mark Foster, Courtney Sabo-Gorrindo, Garrett Roberts and wife Erin, Justin Roberts and wife Nichole; great grandchildren, Savanna Sabo and Bridger Gorrindo. Bill served in the US Army, the Calvery and in WWII Signal Corps. He retired from the Union Oil Company after 37 years of service.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m.,Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Klein United Methodist Church Chapel, 5920 FM 2920, Spring, Texas 77388.
