
William V. Berry was born on November 24, 1930 and passed away on August 7, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hugh C Berry and Cleo Emily Berry, and also his friend, Bob Sydney of Hollywood, CA. He is survived by his sister Peggy Cox, brother Hugh Berry, Jr., and ten nieces and nephews. He is also survived by friend Debbie Reynolds of Hollywood, CA. Dr. John Loomis of New York, Jim Whitman of Navarre, FL., Barbara Broz of Houston, TX., and Larry La Gros, Brenda Leitner of Galveston, as well as a host of others. Bill was instrumental in building “Old Market Square” by owning several businesses. Them including “The La Carafe”, which was a show place with very old records on the juke box. He then went to California in the 80’s and early nineties where he started a very successful real estate office. He served as a real estate president there and served on the state assembly and V.P. of the SPCA in North County and was a lifetime member. He carried his real estate success from California to Montana, Tennessee, Florida, and then back to Texas to retire. Last but not least, he served as Captain in the Air Force as a Fighter and Helicopter Pilot. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. May God bless him. A visitation will be held on August 10, 2013, in the Forest Park Lawndale Family Chapel, beginning at 10am followed by a funeral service at 11am. Internment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
